National Trust property in quiet area of Wolverhampton. This is a historical house were King Charles hid from Cromwell troops. Owned by a catholic family then so had built in priests hide hole were he stayed over a 2 day period. House also very good example of this periods building and is full of history for that period. Good gardens and woodland to explore outside and tea room provides quality refreshments.
Look for weekend where they have re enactment groups there which provide even more details of living conditions of that period.
