I am booked to go on holiday in March travelling on a Monarch airlines flight. I read on their website that you can pre book more leg room seats in advance on payment of £8.99. As my husband suffers with cramps we thought this would be a good idea and so rang them to book. We were offered two seats together towards the front of the plane but were told they would cost an additional £21.99 each. When I queried the cost on line as £8.99 I was told that £8.99 only reserves two seats together and not extra leg room. This is not what it says on their website and seems to me that even travelling with your partner doesn't mean you will sit together unless you pay extra. I cannot understand how this benefits passengers or airlines and is not a service but a bit of a rip off I think.
