My sister and I went to “Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub”:http://www.mollybloomsstratford.com/ for dinner last night in Stratford.
Like many other diners, we were there for a meal before heading to the theatre. The service was friendly and prompt to ensure we all made it out in time for our shows. Not only did our waitress check on our meals to ensure everything was to our liking; so did the manager.
My sister ordered the grilled tender beef liver served with mashed potatoes, crispy bacon and sautéed onions and was asked how she wanted the liver cooked; not something most places ask. It was very good though the second piece did have some gristle in it. I ordered the hamburger with sautéed mushrooms and it was delicious; very juicy and a terrific sear on the meat. Only sad thing for me – they didn’t have a bitter shandy.
The menu looks very good and there were a few things I’d go back to try, especially in the winter, like the Irish Stew.
