Whilst on St. Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly, we called into to the Mermaid Inn for a spot of lunch and a drink. The pub was a reasonable size with a dining restaurant (although this was closed in the daytie when we were there). It is a good spot if you come off the Scilonian ferry or are dropped off in town after arriving by plane and within walking distance.
The pub had friendly locals and guests, was not dark, had a good, reasonably priced lunch menu and decorated with nautical mementoes. A lovely way to while away a couple of hours.
