Relaxation

The Memmo Baleeira a Design hotel and like others I have stayed at, has a minimalist feel.

The location of this hotel was excellent. The rooms had lovely comfortable beds and I would recommend to book a sea view room which is a must as the view is first class. Breakfast buffet was fine but I felt that you might well have to wait for a seat to become vacant when the hotel was very busy in the high season.

There was a nice local supermarket about 200 metres from the hotel, open until 9pm which was extremely useful. To get the most of the Sagres region and beyond, you do need to have a rental car and do note that Sagres reaches the most south westerly point of Europe .Therefore be prepared for windy conditions and a need to hold onto your hat!

The area is not touristy compared to other parts of the Algarve and has a general ‘laid back’ feel which we found very appealing. The nearest ‘busy’ town was Lagos which we did visit but were please to get back to Sagres. Overall, a very nice relaxing hotel to be recommended to holiday at, in a lovely area of the Algarve.
