I chose this small B&B hotel at short notice by reading reviews (on another website!) and could not have been more satisfied. From the all-important first impression on arrival and throughout my stay, it was excellent on all counts. It is a family run hotel with 20 rooms and the owner, Chris Waters is a former PGA professional golfer (so he knows how to recommend all the best local courses). In his new career, he clearly aims to maintain high standards and personal service – and the breakfast menu is as good as any 5-star hotel.
The bedrooms and public rooms are clean, comfortable and well-appointed – and there is free Internet and Wifi. The location is in an attractive residential area, close to a small quiet bay and beach (ideal for that early morning walk), but it is still only a few minutes by car from the centre of the town and Torquay’s better-known amenities. There is ample parking space.
