Just 3 people in a four wheel drive with a driver/guide who obviously knew his stuff, and on leaving the camp at dawn, with the mist lingering in over the plains, and the sun rising the first sighting of a group of lions lolling in the grass virtually at the enterance ; an enormous male with a full black mane lying on his back, surrounded by 6 lionesses, along with 8 cubs of various sizes, after finally leaving, away along a very bumpy track, the most adorable 3 cheetah cubs and their mother so very close you could almost reach down and stroke them. They were so cute and decided to play ring a roses thru' their mothers legs when she got up to stretch her legs, just magical, a sight that will stay with me for the rest of my life, think more so as there was no other tourist there. The migration was in full swing and after crossing a minor stream a great string of the wildebeest was travelling along side of our jeep when there was the most almighty stampede, we were almost engulfed as they bolted along each side of us; they had been ambushed by a leopardess, when we got up to her she was just sitting there with her prize. So ended a 3 hour game drive never to be forgotten.
