I stayed with my carer, for a week's trip to the Bernese Oberland. We stayed at Autogold's site on Manor Farm Interlaken, The mobile home was in immaculate condition, not even a stain on the carpet, even though 8 years old. The owners, Kelvin and Trudy, were coincidentally also there at the same time, and Ralfe and Sue, the site managers, all were extremely friendly and helpful. The company is based in Storrington, Sussex, and they have about 24 vans on site, with varying configurations for sleeping up to 7 or 8. If disabled like me book a double bed with wide access to ease getting into bed, as inevitably with a mobile van, space restrictions mean some beds are cramped, but the living space is superb. There is a restaurant on site but we did all our own catering, as you need very deep pockets to live in Switzerland. We found the Swiss very accommodating, all transport is accessible to the disabled and even though in a mobility scooter, if a ramp wasn't available, I was physically man handled onto the train or cable car, The Rothorn railway was the only one not catering for a wheelchair. other trains had a hinged panel at the end of the coach to enable the scooter to be in the compartment, and the cable cars had a specially wide door on about every few cars to allow access for the scooter or wheelchair, they stopped the cable for you to be lifted in. On the Jungfraujoch I was lifted in with a forklift truck, see photo.
