You're advised to phone ahead the day before to see if the public room are open but you can't do that if your visit is pre-planned. We were lucky and managed to see all the spaces in this magnificent Victorian Town Hall. The afternnon tea served here is magnificent and excellent value and although you can have anything else in the tea room the full afternoon tea has to be pre-booked.
