Reasons for trip

I have just returned from a visit to Auckland and wanted to let you know about my experience on Malaysia airlines. I managed to get a return business class flight from the UK through a London Travel agent for £2400, way below Emirates and other airlines. Positive aspects were: 10am flight from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur on a A380 (flat beds) arriving at 7.30 am next day. 2 hour lay over and then an A330 (flat beds) to Auckland arriving at 1140pm local time; attentive and courteous cabin crew; excellent business lounges at KL and Auckland; clean aircraft including toilets; Porsche amenities bag; very caring about people with mobility difficulties. Negatives: Primarily oriental food on board and at business lounges but good quality. I would definitely fly with them again. I can recommend Discount Taxis fixed price service on line or cash on the day at Auckland airport. I can definitely recommend a day trip to Napier, home of Art Deco, using Air New Zealand flights. Approximately 1 hour each way. Continual checking on website got two of us 25% of price for flights but seats are always limited and go quickly. Half price taxi service in Napier is brilliant. You can ‘Grab One’ meals in all kinds of eating places across Auckland, eg two main meals and a glass of wine Indian for 15 dollars, or two main meals and a shared dessert at a wonderful steak house half price for 30 dollars. Fantastic arts festival and temperatures around 25 degrees.
