We just have to share our wonderful experience at the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel in Peebles, Scottish Borders. What a stunning setting! Breathtaking views! The room was beautiful, overlooking the golf course and then beyond we could watch people cycling and dogwalking. Just beautiful. The room was lovely, even a cooffee machine, much to my husband’s delight a s he misses his when on our travels!

The meals at the hotel are stunning. The waiting staff are all friendly and helpful and the barman is knowledgeable and amiable.

You do need your car as it is in the country, part of the charm, but when you set out, Peebles and the surrounding area are just a treat to enjoy.
