This is a nice little cafe in Swanage High Street. It is slightly off the main drag, but if you continue round the town circuit and walk away from the sea you will find it.
It seems to be run by a few young girls, with a passion for tea and cake.
We just had a simple lunch there, but it was very nice.
One of my main gripes in a cafe is the lack of water with a pot of tea and, even worse a small pot of tea with a catering tea bag floating in it. This cafe packs a punch with a large tea pot with loose tea and it is very nice. There are lots of teas to choose from and you can buy any that you like in the cafe afterwards.
The place is small and not at all pretentious, it has the modern “vintage” vibe, which means lots of old stuff stuck round the place, but it does add character.
The toilet is down the stairs, so not sure if this would be suitable for anyone who needed a lift to get down there.
Worth a visit if you are in the area.
