Reasons for trip

Just returned from sunny Tenerife, staying at Thomsons Los Gigantes Hotel. The perfect place for a complete relaxing week. I would not recommend staying any longer because Los Gigantes is quite out on a limb, surrounded by very hilly walks, both down to the harbour and the black sand beach. The bus ride to Las Americas takes one hour. The hotel is lovely, food is very good, (although for a change we did eat out one night in one of the many restaurants). We also found the perfect bar right next to the hotel where the entertainment was particularly aimed at the swinging sixties! There was entertainment in the hotel, but the bar next door seemed to be more popular. The hotel has two pools and plenty of sun beds which don’t need to be saved but hey – most of the guests were British and we have learnt a lot from the Germans!
