This place is pure indulgence. Sorry chaps – it’s for ladies only!
I hadn’t been well and needed to rest and restore. I stumbled across the small ladies spa set near to Babbacombe, Torquay on the internet. What a gem of a find. Very reasonably priced for three days of massage, healthy food and swimming outdoors in their heated pool. When I arrived I was one of two guests. Fortunately we got on very well. The next day three more ladies came to join us.
The Lorrens offer various packages. I chose the bespoke relaxation but I could have chosen a fitness regime or juice detox. The food was healthy but I did have to ask for extra portions. The other ladies were trying to lose weight but I fight to keep it on! They were very obliging with this but I did feel a bit greedy!!
The rooms were lovely with comfy beds.
Delightful walking from the hotel to nearby gardens or Babbacombe downs
Without exception, all the other ladies were on repeat visits – one her sixteenth!
Unless, in a similar position I probably wouldn’t return but simply because I love to travel.
A tip – do negotiate. I asked politely and was given 25% discount booking two weeks before going.
