Reasons for trip

I have not been to Longleat Safari Park since I was a child and my partner and I decided to take our 12 year old grandaughter to experience this fun and exciting day out. If you can get your tickets online before you go please try as you get 15% discount. The day started with the safari (about one hour long),  you drive around the park seeing lions, tigers and many other animals roaming free and at many points you are not allowed to leave your car or open your window. Do go in the monkey drive through as it is fun when the monkeys get a lift on your car. Just be aware that they can damage your car. It is possible to avoid the drive through. If you do not have a car or do not want to drive you can get the safari bus but this is an extra £4 surcharge. After the safari there is the adventure park . Loads to do such as bat cave, jungle express train and jungle cruise boat. Lots of rides for young children too. The if you have any time and energy left you can go in magnificent Longleat House (we didn't – it was a very hot day and we were worn out.). This is recommended for a great family day out. If you cannot walk too far it is still possible to enjoy most of the attractions here.
