This is a comfortable hotel, although not modern, but very clean. Service was excellent as they adapted to our differing requests. Our friends were staying and we dropped by to eat dinner with them. The staff coped well with our unannounced early arrival, our friends separating from their travel group, and an early table for dinner that wasn’t booked.
Nothing was too much trouble- we heard them dealing with requests from other residents. If what was requested wasn’t available exactly, they immediately suggested an alternative to suit their guests’ wishes. It was all done in a friendly manner.
The menu was varied with seafood, salads, steaks as specials and well prepared.
Automatic doors lead into the hotel from the car park but there is no lift in the hotel. The staff delivered the luggage to the rooms.
The lounge and dining room windows look out over the lochside but take care, the main A82 is outside.
