Liverpool Waterfront is a fabulous tourist destination, with lots to see and do in a compact area. The Ferry Across the Mersey is a must do, with its fantastic views of The Three Graces (Liver Building, Cunard Building, and Port of Liverpool Building – all magnificent) and if you Do the Double you can add an open top bus tour of the city and all its sights. The commentary on both tours is very informative and you can get on and off the bus to see the sights close up for a 24-hour period. Then there’s the Museum of Liverpool, and within the Albert Dock, the Beatles Museum, the Maritime Museum, Tate Liverpool, and lots of lovely restaurants and cafes and some interesting shops. Just over the road there’s lots of shopping opportunities and more eateries at Liverpool One.
