Not long back from our first trip to an over 50s resort and we loved it, it certainly lived up to all the good reviews. Littlecote House has plenty of History but also many activities and plenty of entertainment to keep everybody happy.
We went on a 50s Rock & Roll weekend, this is our era as we are in our middle 60s. Having said that there was a vast range of ages, and some of the older generation put us to shame With there energetic dancing. Also on that weekend was a great entertainer who kept us all in switches with his magic, comedy and he had a great voice too. The resident entertainment team were also great, so much so we had a few very late nights.
We stayed in a Contempory Royal Room and had no complaints, large, comfortable & Cosy. The restaurant was lovely, only complaint was we felt the Tables were to close together, but the food more than made up up for that, hot, tasty and plenty to go round. Particular mention to the Breakfast, great choice.
As to activities, we tried swimming, lovely pool, Archery great fun, but cannot comment on the rest although you would be hard pressed to be bored as there was something going on all day if you were that way inclined. Also must mention the grounds, lovely to walk round.
All in all good value for money so much so we are going again for my Mothers 85th Birthday in August, we are trying Nidd Hall this time, hope it is as good.
