Littlecote House Hotel is one of the hotels offered by the Warner group. The hotels are all adult only and usually offer weekend breaks or mid-week breaks. We went Fri-Mon and the cost included breakfast and evening meal as well as evening entertainment. The hotel itself is steeped in history, from the sad story of the baby thrown in the fire, to the Seymours and Henry VIII. The approach to the hotel is lovely as you see the ivy covered house and grounds you do feel like time has slipped. It also has a reputation for being haunted. The bedrooms are set in a newer blocks at the side of the main house and the bedrooms are modern and comfortable. The dining hall is in the main house as is the bar and entertainment. The dining room is large and does feel a bit like a posh butlins with so many people. The buffet breakfast is good as are the main meals. There are additional things like a banquet in the banqueting hall for an extra charge and archery classes etc can be taken. A gym, pool and sauna are also available. The grounds are vast and ducks and peacocks walk freely around the doors. For me the best thing about the Hotel was its access to nearby Wiltshire and the magestic Salibury Cathedral with it Magna Carta and fantastically tall steeple, its tombs and stonework.
