We head off to the Warners hotel, Littlecote House once a year for either my birthday or our wedding anniversary. We have been there 3 times and have booked again for next January.

We stay in an historic room in the old, original part of the building, which is reported to be one of the most haunted houses in England. They do late night ghost walks which is always very interesting! There is so much history to this house, and there are some protected mosaics in the hotel grounds. Do not miss a talk by the chicken man who has a huge collection of rare breed chickens on the land, and he sells his eggs too.

Warners hotels are like cruises on land! You are fed & entertained very well, and there is always an activity or two to join in. There is the most wonderful little craft shop on site which I always managed to get some little treasure in, also the shop inside the hotel has some nice things in. There's a swimming pool and spa treatments on site, and as it is right in the middle of the countryside, some nice walks.

The food is great (one all-inclusive restuarant and one bistro), the straff are very friendly and helpful and the best thing of all, NO CHILDREN ALLOWED!

Wait until their special offers come out before booking as you can get 50% off – we book in August for Jan-March as this is when they reduce the price. Once you get on their mailing list, you get really good offers all year through for all of their hotels.
