We have just attended the Lion king at Liverpool Empire Theatre, what a show, the costumes and their articulation are amazing, with great choreography and singing it is a must. The theatre is to the side of Lime street Station, a short walk of 200 yards so its handy. Inside its average as for as theatres go, I like the fact that attendants sell ice creams etc during the interval from trays so you don't have to leave your seats if you don't feel inclined. The down side is that the seats are hard, small and somewhat uncomfortable and it quickly became extremely hot inside. The prices will also make your eyes water, £2 for a small bottle of water and £3 for a very small tub of ice cream. There is a bar area and ample toilets inside. At £75 per ticket, the seating could've been better. Conclusion – Great show, mediocre theatre.
