I have stayed at this hotel some time ago and decided to return as it is perfectly placed near to Paddington Rail and Underground station. The price is extremely cheap for London, so you know it is not going to be 5*, but as a stop-over point it is ideal.
It is an old building, so there is no lift only stairs. I was on top/3rd floor which is a bit of a climb, especially the last section which is steep and curved, but the room was comfortable and clearly recently refurbished. There were two double beds, although it was booked for single occupancy, and a very new shower room. Incredibly, this was the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in in London! I only discovered the window was half-open all night when I opened the curtains in the morning, so this made it even more amazing.
Breakfast is pretty basic but enough to keep you going, and the staff very friendly. I will definitely choose to stay here again and will ask for the same room despite the stairs. It is a great price to stay so close to one of the main connecting travel points at Paddington, £69 B&B, so worth it as a budget hotel.
