Taking a three night break to Lake Garda from the UK was not something I had considered before , I had only thought about city breaks for such a short period, but it turned out to be a fantastic revelation. If you have pets that you don’t want to leave for extended periods of time, it is quite remarkable what you can fit in, in such a short time.
We landed at 10.45 am after only a couple of hours flight and were in the pool by 12.30 for a refreshing stretch after the journey. By 14.00 we were at the lake side eating pasta and drinking a lovely glass of red wine. The views of Lake Garda are just breathtaking from Limone and watching the Lake ferries slowly gliding in is strangely relaxing.
We hired a little motor boat after lunch for a reasonable price and spent the rest of the afternoon pootling about on the Lake. All this done and it was only 6pm and still two full days left.
As you can tell I am now a big convert of three night breaks if flight times are anything under three and a half hours and I would highly recommend you give them a try.
