Reasons for trip

This was an offer in The Independent newspaper about 8 years ago. Flight from Manchester to Geneva and a coach to Lech.Only hitch was a long wait for the coach at the airport. The village was perfect and the free pass for all local buses and ski lifts and cable cars meant we could see all the beautiful scenery and have wonderful walks up in the mountains with scenery like ‘The Sound of Music’.

Hotel was very good in every way especially the food and we enjoyed going up to Oberlech for a sandwich lunch and walking down through wild flower meadows. Warm sunshine all week too, in June. There was a swimming pool in the village too.
