We enjoyed lunch twice at Le Marrakchi during our stay in Marrakesh. We both liked tasty Moroccan pies (vegetable, chicken or pigeon) and a beer. Prices are high as the restaurant is in the main square but we accepted this and, as service was good, we gave our waiter a reasonable tip.
But a visit to Le Marrakchi for dinner did not meet our expectations. The place was uncomfortably crowded. Both the tagine and couscous were bland and tasteless – not a patch on the dishes we had previously enjoyed at our Riad. Two belly dancers presented a short show. One was an excellent dancer but the other had no idea and was embarrassingly amateur. To cap it all our waiter, whom we had not seen on previous visits, rudely demanded his tip. He got one but less than he had hoped for.
