Reasons for trip

An intimate venue and very popular judging by the packed house for a weekday lunchtime. The food was excellent, my pork steak was tender and served with a tasty ‘jus’, the potatoes and veg were just right and my wife’s fries were thin and delicious. Reasonably priced too.

Unfortunately our visit was marred by slow service (I think they forgot to order our main course!). However, all the staff were friendly and welcoming and very apologetic for their mistake and they made it up to us by giving us a discount off our next visit.
