Reasons for trip

Visit the Gardens now. There is a stunning display of colourful Tulips infront of the House. The Gardens are full of magnificent Azaleas, Magnolias & Rhododendrons in April & early May. There are two car parks, free for National Trust members. The main one is opposite a Playground for children & very good it is. There is a restaurant & Cycle shop & cycle hire. They have made amazing cycle tracks for all abilities. There is a free Shuttle bus to the House & gardens. There are plenty of benches to sit on & enjoy your picnic.

The Respryn bridge car park lower down is next to a delightful walk over the bridge & along the River Fowey. There is also the walk up to the House & Gardens. Dogs are allowed in the park but not in the Gardens.
