We were travelling out from Gatwick on a very early flight and so decided to stay over night at a local hotel to avoid the early morning panic trip to the airport. As it was my partners birthday I decided to go for a bit of luxury as a treat , and what a treat we had in store! Langshott Manor is a quintessentially English manor house with a moat that exudes luxury. A week before our planned arrival I looked at the booking site again and prices had dropped so I managed to upgrade for little cost to the master suite with its four poster bed, roll top bath and terrace which overlooked the moat. We loved the ducks that effectively swam just in front of the terrace. The setting is beautiful and you really wouldn't believe that you are only a 5 minute drive from the airport. The gardens are lovely affording many a photo opportunity. We had afternoon tea to provide a little more decadence which was charming, and my partner had a little cake with his name and happy birthday iced on it. What makes the hotel are the luxury and the little thoughtful extras. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are really friendly and only too obliging. As we had to leave so early in the morning, when we went to check out the night ported had packed us up a little picnic breakfast. Although a little more expensive than most airport accommodation, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel especially if you want to start your holiday with a little luxury. The access is good especially for those less able as many of the rooms are on the ground floor and there is a large carpark at the front of the hotel where for a small extra charge you can leave your car for the duration of your holiday.
