This is a lovely art gallery, with some fantastic paintings on display. The current exhibition, Rossetti’s Obsession, is tremendous and well worth a visit, but even the regular works are pretty impressive. If you like Millais, Burne-Jones, Leighton, Turner and Constable you’ll love this place, if you are more into modern art, then maybe you should try The Tate Liverpool instead.
The cafe is in the basement, and is rather cheerless which is a shame, but it’s still five stars from me.
