Reasons for trip

“La Noisette”:http://www.lanoisettebakery.com/ is in an unassuming strip mall on Oxford Street in London, Ontario. A great place for breakfast, lunch and coffee, it is a bakery and deli with a book exchange in one corner. I have been a couple of times and have not been disappointed. A lot of people stop in to take away baking or lunch but there are also tables for you to sit and enjoy your purchases.

On my most recent visit for lunch I tried the turkey and cheese sandwich. The focaccia bun was light and fresh, the meat was thinly sliced and generous and the overall affect was delicious. The latte was just right and the brownie not too sweet. I’ve tried the bagels in the past and they were good too. I have yet to try one of the breakfast bagels but they look really good.

It’s closed Sunday and Monday and open from 8-6 on Tuesday to Friday and until 4:00 pm on Saturday. The website does not as yet provide much information other than their back story and where to find them. Suffice it to say, the display of baked treats and breads will entice you once you enter.
