My friend and I have recently spent four nights at the Kreutzwald Hotel and were very happy with everything about it, although the location was a bit far from the old town for our liking.
We had separate rooms and were both very happy with them. Both rooms had tea and coffee making facilities, very effective showers, and working computers, so that we could check our emails (and even look at Silver Travel Advisor!) without the hassle and expense of Wi-Fi codes, internet cafes, or of trying to use Smartphones.
The breakfasts were plentiful and varied and the staff were courteous, polite, helpful, and all spoke good English. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm – a welcome refuge from the cold and snow outside.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for silver travellers, but it is more suited to those who enjoy a brisk walk, as to get to the old town takes about 25 minutes.
