We travelled to Thailand on 29th March for two weeks in Krabi at the Thai Village resort. I’d read mixed reviews beforehand but this didn’t deter me and although it was a 12 hour flight the airline Tui were very good and it was comfortable. We had a private taxi from Phuket airport which was very cheap for a two hour drive – the views were incredible. We were given fruit punch on arrival then shown to our room which was fabulous. We had a duplex room with two big comfy beds downstairs with a sofa area and huge tv and upstairs a big king size bed with study area. The bathroom was clean and large and there was plenty of storage room with a safe, umbrellas and even a bag for carrying things to the pool. There was a large balcony overlooking the pools. The gardens and pools were immaculate as was the main hotel. We had breakfast where literally everything was provided from cereal to bacon omelette even Thai curry and noodles. I could not fault the hotel it was fantastic. We went near the end of season which meant there weren’t hoards of tourists but the weather was hot and sunny with the odd storm which I enjoyed watching. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel as there are masses of restaurants locally , even just across the road. I highly recommend travelling by long tail boat to Railay beach, it is just beautiful and perfect for scuba and paddle boarding. We took a speedboat to Koh phi phi and the Hong islands which were incredible. Also the sunset cruise to swim with bioluminescent plankton was superb. Thai people are very friendly and appreciate if you try and say hello and Thankyou in Thai. This is the most beautiful place I have ever travelled to. We are out every night, took all the trips and sightseeing we wanted to and only spent half of our spending money even though there was myself, my husband and my daughter. If you can go you will just love it.
