These gardens are near the castle in kanazawa, so in the centre of town. Easily accessible by one of the loop buses which traverse the city, the site is gently sloping and simple to navigate. There is ample English language translation at the gardens. The pride the gardeners have is evident in these immaculate, carefully coiffeured grounds. Best of all is the tea house where a kimono clad lady will carefully whisk green tea for you, explaining the traditions of the tea room, before sliding back a screen for customers to enjoy a beautiful private area of the gardens from a veranda.
