This holiday site is set in hundreds of acres of heathland and is a David Bellamy conservation area. One part is given over to camping and another part is holiday homes and lodges, each one set in little clearings in the wooded areas. There is a conservation pond, a fishing pond, an assault course for kids in another area etc., The Poppy Line steam trains stop at Kelling Heath for trips to Sheringham, Holt etc., There is a small outdoor heated pool, an indoor pool, laundry facilities and a very well stocked shop.
Because this is a conservation area there is lighting in the square only avoiding any light pollution and the skies are amazing! Twice a year there are ‘star parties’ and people come from all over the country to see the night skies.
There are all sorts of wildlife activities for kids and escorted walks for kids and adults.
I can’t recommend Kelling Heath highly enough.
