We stayed here for 10 days in April and had a very enjoyable time. The hotel was aimed very much at families with young children. We were a couple in our 70s and everyone else we met of a similar age was there as part of a multi-generational group but this did not bother us as there was a “quiet” pool for the over 14s and plenty of tables for 2.
Every member of staff with whom we had contact was friendly, efficient, polite and helpful. I cannot praise them enough. The whole resort was very clean and tidy, the pools spotless and the beach lovely.
Breakfast was an excellent buffet, always well stocked and with a corner especially for children – maybe not the healthiest options but very popular. The evening buffets were also very good – chips and pasta etc. in their corner but a wide variety of adult items they could have if they preferred.
We had several evening meals at the Chanadda Royal Thai which was our favourite place for dinner but we also had a good meal at the Fisherman’s Wharf. Alcohol was relatively expensive but the food was acceptably priced.
Our room was ideal – ground floor in the Thani Wing, a grand suite which was well worth the extra cost. It was large, close to the restaurants and had a outside area with comfy chairs excellent for watching the world go by.
