Down by the river on York Street in Stratford there is a tiny little bake shop that makes the most amazing cupcakes and cookies. My sister and I stopped in last summer for a birthday cupcake – absolutely delicious and very colourful as the pictures will show. We both chose lavender cupcakes though they were slightly different from each other. There is a small table outside Kandy Cakes so you can sit and enjoy your treat or you can walk across the road to the river and look for an available bench along the path. There is no website but you can find them on Facebook and see more of their artistic work. The flavours are inventive and vary from day to day. Custom orders are welcome.
