It looks nice from the outside, good location a short walking distance between Euston station and Russell Square underground, reception staff were helpful and we had a big room with comfy beds and newly-fitted shower room. But, it was so noisy!
The floors creak like mad, and the people in the room above us inexplicably tramped around their room from 3.30am until breakfast time! You know, you keep waiting for them to get into bed, for goodness sake, but alas no. The next night was better, less moving around, but from 11.30pm we now had four solid hours of the biggest thunder and lightning storm for years!
Clearly this is outside the hotel’s control, but basically, given the creaks and bangs inherently part of its structure, we decided we would never stay at this hotel again. And it was very expensive at £278 for two nights B&B.
