I had a great meal here the other night with some friends. When we headed out for our meal we intended to have burgers at The Oakwood, but it was a Monday night and it was closed. We kept walking down 4th Avenue West in Kitsilano, Vancouver and happened upon Jolly’s and thought we’d give it a try. The restaurant was full and the food smelled very tempting. The food and service were excellent. Five of us dined for $55 without alcohol and tip so you can’t beat the price. We shared the butter chicken (ever so buttery), lamb saag (lovely and tender) and Madrasi prawns coconut curry (nice and spicy) and there was plenty for everyone. We each received a plate with basmati rice with turmeric and spinach salad and there was a platter of hot and crispy naan bread. The guys finished it off with some extra rice to soak up the sauces. Not a drop was left! Note it is only open for the evening meal.
