Situated right on the main St and including the horseracing museum. Absolutely great place for learning about the ins and outs of horse racing. Going up to the Gallups to watch the horses being trained. At top of the hill is Sheik Mohammad place – quite something to see. Then go to the breeding area which is immaculate and see the young foals with their mothers.
Palace House is another must as it was Charles Second who created Newmarket and insisted all main roads should be straight for horse and carriage. Go for a race day or when they are auctioning horses another world. The Jockey Club followed all the rules and we have never been to such a great B & B for a very long time.
