Reasons for trip

My two day stay at Jim’s Jungle Retreat was amazing. If you like off the beaten track locations and want to see tigers and other wildlife this is an amazing location in the jungle. The staff are really caring, food good and accommodation very comfortable with all one needs. It is a smallish lodge with some 18 cottages and lodges making it quite intimate. As well as game drives there are other activities on offer daily including a village walk, river walk and cycling. The naturalists are very professional and very knowledgeable. Every evening a talk or video about the wildlife, Jim Corbett and the venue are on offer. It is a suitable location for children too with a lovely pool, a cafe and lookouts on site. Internet is available at Reception too despite the remote location.

On my last afternoon I was lucky enough to see a female tiger on the game drive just stretching out and dozing close to the road. We were able to stay watching her for some thirty minutes and it was fabulous to be able to take lots of great photos. I would definitely return to this safari lodge in the future.
