My grand-daughter and I were lucky enough to stay in this lovely hotel in the Summer .It's only 5 minutes away from Newcastle city centre ,but you would think you were in the heart of the countryside. It is set in the beautiful grounds of Dene Park, which is a lovely place and has a small animal park for the children and tea-rooms for mums and dads! The hotel itself is an arts and crafts hotel and is stunning from the outside and even more so inside .The meals are brilliant and people visit just to have dinner in the restaurant. The hotel has various offers on during the year and themed nights, e.g. jazz evenings. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the bedrooms are all different, each one individual and beautifully furnished. It's only a 5 minute ride by Metro into Newcastle, which is a fantastic place, great shops and malls. We can't wait to go again next year!
