We initially looked at this leaflet in at a Tourist Information centre in Prague because it offered " Listen, Look, Taste" for 590 CZK (around £24), which seemed amazingly cheap for a musical dinner cruise. Alas it was too cheap – further investigation showed that dinner was charged separately, however there is an excellent online system whereby you can see a 360 view of the boat and the dining tables, choose your seats and book dinner from a choice of 4 set menus, with 20% off the meal for pre-booking online. We took advantage of this and chose an evening of mainstream jazz, and a table next to the band. Our three course meals cost between 280 and 390 CZK (around £11 to £15), and were pretty good – pate, cheese and ham pastry or mozzarella and cheese to start, then good portions of either chicken, pork or salmon with veg for the main course. Our picky son declared the pork loin to be 'perfect', and my salmon was wonderful. Dessert were basic sorbets or apple pie. THe bar was reasonably well stocked and we indulged in a nice bottle of Czech Rose wine. The musical part of the event was provided by a very professional quartet playing guitar, double bass, drums and sax; the vetern sax player was clearly a local hero and enjoyed the praise of his adoring public, but they were all excellent musicians and they played for most of the 2.5 hour cruise, which took in Prague by night (very picturesque) and we even navigated a lock! After our meal we ventured up to the top deck to 'take the air' – it was pretty chilly but the views were lovely!
