We went for the Sunday morning performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. The theatre Royal is central and well placed for visiting, close to the bus and rail stations, there is now free car parking on a Sunday and night time too! The foyer and box office are bright but it could now do with a lick of paint and some new décor as it looks a bit tired but functionally it is fine. There are ample toilets and bar/ coffee facilities and I like the attendants at the half way point in the show. The show itself was great with a good cast capable of engaging the audience, we had a ball. Support your local theatre and get yourselves down there. There is a lift as the bar is located on the 1st floor, I would suggest you check first if you need it as I have seen it out of order in the past. A good morning and a great show, all very enjoyable. We even had "in the mood for dancing" at the end with Linda Nolan belting it out.
