From the moment we entered the enormous lobby we were pampered and made to feel special. The check in staff were very helpful. The lifts are security conscious and will not take you to your floor without your room key card being shown to the screen. Our double room was large and overlooking the River Thames with floor to ceiling windows. Water, both plain and fizzy, bottles were complimentary and a good supply of coffee(machine) and tea. The bathroom was exquisite and equipped with a large walk in shower big enough for 4 people, not that we tried it. The bath was big and the toiletries were delightful. LARGE soft fluffy bath sheets – made a change from small bath towels, large fluffy bath robes and slippers were also supplied. The bed and pillows were wonderful – we slept really well. The entire hotel is tastefully decorated. On every possible surface in the public areas they supply a plethora of complimentary magazines and newspapers. Breakfast was enjoyed overlooking the River Thames and the choice is so vast that even the most awkward of people would find it hard to find fault. We ate in The Market Brasserie Restaurant on two nights and the food was delicious.
For those who want to work off their culinary experience the hotel have a complimentary swimming pool and sauna, massage and beauty treatments are available as extra.
The staff are very friendly and very helpful.
The hotel operate a courtesy shuttle bus from North Greenwich Station. We telephoned them and they picked us up and when we wanted to go to the station they took us. This runs until 7pm. What a delightfulfully thoughtful touch.
