“IHOP”:http://www.ihopniagarafalls.com/, International House of Pancakes, is a national chain in North America famous for breakfast food. There is one in the lobby of the “Four Points by Sheraton Niagara Falls, Fallsview”:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/accommodation/179500-review-four-points-by-sheraton-niagara-falls-fallsview where I stayed recently with friends. We gave the birthday girls the choice of where to go for brunch on the Sunday morning and they chose IHOP.

The atmosphere is a typical breakfast restaurant and it is all enclosed in the lobby of the hotel so it felt like we were in the basement. In addition to, of course, pancakes in countless flavours with lots of different toppings, you can also get crepes, waffles, French toast, and bacon and eggs in various forms. If you don’t want breakfast, they also serve soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers.

There is a small section of the menu for 55+ and my friend and I both ordered from that section while her daughters ordered from the regular menu. When our food arrived, we couldn’t tell the difference between the servings. The only difference we could see was the shape of the plate. We all ordered various forms of eggs and bacon with hash browns and toast. Our vegetarian got tomatoes instead of bacon.

The food was good, all made fresh, and the service was efficient and friendly. However, for the same money we spent at IHOP, we could have gone to the “Grand Buffet”:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/restaurant/176618-review-grand-buffet at Fallsview Casino across the road. The food would have been much more varied, the atmosphere is much more luxe and there is a view of the Horseshoe Falls. Next time I’ll walk across the road.
