Reasons for trip

I went on Wednesday 19th November, on my own. I decided to get there when exhibition opened at 10.00 am which was the first day of exhibition. Outside the venue was wonderful with snow blowing, Santa on Sleigh, elves who took your photo with your own camera, and snow on the floor. [imitation snow]. Very good atmosphere.

Inside I was blown away with huge golden Christmas trees, shimmering and so beautiful. People were having photos taken and I even saw a tiny baby held by his grandmother alongside the huge twinkling golden Christmas trees.

I went upstairs first of all, as this is where it gets really hot later on in day. I saw a super fashion show by young people modelling 'Next' clothes. Great fun and lovely clothes. Also tons of stalls to sample food, cheese, chocolate even gin samples – ginger beer first thing in the morning! Lots of sweets, biscuits, Christmas cakes, sausages, cheese, etc. to purchase.

Every stall selling Christmas products, I bought some papercraft items, also clothes stalls really good value and I bought my grandchildren some 'monkey' scarves – 3 for £10 great value. Lots of stalls selling various items such as scarves, jewellery, christmas cards, also offering stalls aromatherapy massages. Had a demo of hand wash and handcream. Great varied stalls -something for everyone.

One section of stalls with people showing kitchen gadgets, laundry, garden etc. all for the home.

Also coffee shops, cloakroom, toilets and places to sit down.

It was a lovely atmosphere, upstairs, then I went downstairs but difficult to find escalator they need no signage around.

Downstairs there was an ice rink, carol singers, mens choir, singing on a rotunda and great atmosphere. Nice coffee shops, also you could obtain a goodie bag at special counter. Also show houses, to explore.

Though you need a good pair of legs for walking but there are lots of places to sit down, it was very enjoyable. I think it is far better than the March/April Ideal home, and had lots of atmosphere, and it really felt like Christmas had come!!

As this was a FREE admission sent by email from Organisers and FREE travel with my travelcard, a super day out!
