What an experience, the Ice hotel is an experience just to walk around let alone spend the night.
So many designs of art suites but to be honest the experience will be just the same in any room.
Toasty in the sleeping bags but around -5c in the rooms. No on suite bathrooms.
Very similar experience to camping in the winter.
The hotel also has an Ice bar with live bands on Saturday nights.
The hot rooms are very warm, we stayed in a Nordic chalet equipped with a flat screen TV, microwave and fridge as well as two bedrooms.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble.
We ate in the main restaurant across the road, the food was first class, tried Reindeer steak and Artic char both very tasty along with some excellent desserts. Drinks were very expensive over £50 for a bottle of wine. Also tried the Homestead cafe which served good basic food. I would suggest booking a warm room as a back up to go to during the day for your night in the Ice hotel.
