We hadca twobweek stay mat Iberostar Hotel Cavtat in early June. The hotelbis situated overlooking the pebble beach on the Adriatic, only a few minutes walk from the pretty harbour town of Cavtat. Weather this time of year in the mid 20’s, very warm sunny everyday.
Water taxis from the jetty costs around 5 kuna andvwill take you to.Dubrovnik ..a 15 minute journey. There are also local buses. The water taxis do day trips to the Elaphantine Islands. The waters are crystal clear and pe4fect for snorkelling. We also hired a local car to Mostar in Sarajevo. An amazing full day seeing how locals rebuilt their town and the historic bridge after the war. Another place worth visiting was Kotor innMontenegro, again we hired a car to visit but there are organised trips.Kotor isvan amazing walled city jam packed with history and buildings, the ice cream and beer àre pretty good too!! Euros are the currency in Montenegroand we found eating out here much cheaper than Croatia. Another place to visit is the tiny sea town of Budva and the stunning Sveti Stefan. Of course we spent many hours strolling the streets and city walla of Dubrovnik, but the highlight was taking the chairlift high above the town and visiting the museum dedicated to their recent civil war. Sitting in the restaurant high above the town, the azure coast shimmers in the sunlight and through the glass of ice cold Croatian beer.
A perfect place to visit and one that does not disappoint. We travelled with Jet2.
