On a visit to New Brighton it started to rain so we ducked into “The Hungry Horse”:https://www.hungryhorse.co.uk/pubs/merseyside/seahorse/ in the shopping precinct on the point for a drink and ended up staying for lunch.
My aunt and I both had jacket potatoes – cheese for me and baked beans for my aunt (£3.99 each – £4.98 for two toppings) and my uncle had an 8 oz Juicy rump steak on a sizzling skillet of peppers and onions topped with mushrooms, melted cheese and peppercorn sauce which was served with chips, onion rings and half a grilled tomato (£10.29). Being a rainy day in May the pub wasn’t busy. We sat at a window table watching a few people wander by in the drizzle. The service was quick and we were soon fortified to strike out again into the changeable weather.
They don’t open until 11:00 am during the week (9:00 am on weekends) and we arrived just after they had opened.
