The Humble Pie and Mash Shop opens at lunchtime for the most delicious homemade pies, peas, mash and gravy. The lamb and rosemary is my favourite. There is a vegetarian option.
The attraction of this basic little eatery is that it is cute, the service is friendly, the food delicious and it is cheap. The decor is 1940s as is the background music. The food is served on enamel plates. So you get a very distinctive experience into the bargain.
At the end of Church street, cross the road, head in the direction of the marina and it is only a short way along the street on the right hand side. There are queues outside in the holiday season, so go early to be sure you get a seat.
